The media challenge is on and the cameras a rolling in preparation for the 2016 Inter University media challenge. Students from universities across the country are preparing their presentations. The news anchors from the different news teams which include Makerere University, Kampala University, Islamic university in Uganda, Ndejje University and our very own Kampala international University team will take to the NTV studio and record their news bulletin for the 2016 Inter-Institutional media challenge scheduled for 19th Nov. They all put in their best to prove that they are the best but what will the judges say?
The theme for this year is #HeForShe because the media challenge Initiative which is the main organizer believes in what women can do.
The media challenge Initiative believes that women are the strength of any nation and would like to recognize them. There are many stereotypes on what women should not and cannot do. Presentation items are photography, essay writing and gender story contest for the Inter Institutional Media Challenge and news anchoring, so it encourages participants to join in and fight those stereotypes.
Kampala International University team is in high spirits the statement we got from the team is that they have intensively prepared for the challenge and hope to win.
The Inter Institutional media challenge was initiated by the media challenge initiative in 2010 and with no doubt has made its mark in regards to mentoring the future media personnel. What better thing is there to do than to challenge media students from different Universities?
