SCIT Rises Above them all at the KIU Sports Gala

On February 18th 2018, the KIU Community congratulated the School of Computer Science and School of Humanities which emerged first and second respectively, in the recently held Interfaculty games at the Main Campus in Kansanga.

Seven colleges competed in nine
activities which saw the SCIT emerging the winner.

“I would like to appreciate the Administrators most
especially the Principal Dean, Dr. Kareyo Margaret, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Finance and Administration, Dr.
Janice Busingye, the Head of Department of Information Technology, Mr. Asiimwe
John Patrick, and the School Administrator,
Mr. Watson Cliff,” said Kalema Kiyimba Simon, the President of the School of
Computing and Information Technology.

He also added that their win wouldn’t have been possible
without the leadership of the TESA cabinet and the members of SCIT.

The Sports Tutor, Ms. Kabasindi Annette was
delighted by the turn up of events and appreciated all the College leaders and participants.
She also praised the University Board of
Trustees for supporting this event.

Dr. Busingye shared that she was encouraged by the
success of the event. She noted that, “By
playing team sports, you’re learning accountability, dedication, and leadership. More so, you’re improving the
state of your mind, body, and spirit.”
